OSULLOC TEAHOUSE TEAFACTORY (2026)
A tea house designed within the OSULLOC Hannam Tea Field in Jeju, creating a welcoming pause between the Tea Factory, tea fields, and observatory. 제주도 남원읍 한남리에 위치한 오설록 한남차밭 내 티팩토리 주변에 방문객들이 잠시 머무르며 휴식할 수 있는 티하우스를 계획한 프로젝트입니다.
대상지는 오르막 지형으로 이루어져 있으며 도로에 인접해 있지만 직접적으로 드러나지 않는 조건을 가지고 있습니다. 이러한 환경 속에서 방문객들이 티팩토리부터 차밭, 전망대까지 자연스럽게 이동하며 공간을 경험할 수 있도록 하는 것이 주요 설계 과제였습니다.
Located near the Tea Factory within the OSULLOC Hannam Tea Field in Jeju, this tea house was planned as a place where visitors can pause, rest, and take in the surrounding landscape.
The site sits on a sloped terrain close to the road, yet remains visually understated. The key design challenge was to create a natural sequence that connects the Tea Factory, tea fields, and observatory, allowing visitors to experience the site as one continuous journey.
이를 위해 우리는 티하우스를 방문객을 환대하는 공간이자 다음 공간으로 자연스럽게 연결하는 전이공간으로 계획하였습니다.
넓은 대지 위에 분리되어 존재하는 공간 간의 연결성을 강화하고 방문객의 경험을 확장하는 흐름을 만들기 위해 티하우스 내부 동선을 순환형 구조로 구성하였습니다.
The tea house was designed as both a welcoming space and a transitional space. A looped interior circulation strengthens the connection between the separated areas across the wide site, creating a smooth and intuitive flow for visitors.
또한 기존 건축물의 형태를 수용하면서도 티하우스의 존재감을 과도하게 드러내기보다 주변 환경과 조화되도록 계획하였습니다. 다소 차가운 톤의 공간에 따뜻한 톤의 가구를 적용하여 방문객들이 이동 중 잠시 머무르며 편안하게 휴식할 수 있는 환대의 분위기를 조성하였습니다.
Rather than emphasizing its presence, the design respects the existing architecture and blends gently into its surroundings. Warm-toned furniture softens the relatively cool-toned space, creating a comfortable and hospitable atmosphere.
방향과 위치에 따라 서로 다른 풍경과 공간의 분위기를 경험할 수 있도록 다양한 형태의 좌석과 테이블을 계획하고 배치하였습니다. 이를 통해 방문객들이 주변 차밭과 자연환경을 각기 다른 시선으로 감상할 수 있는 풍부한 체류 경험을 제공하고자 하였습니다.
By arranging various types of seating and tables, the space offers different views and moods depending on where visitors sit. This allows them to enjoy the tea fields and natural landscape from multiple perspectives, creating a richer and more contemplative experience.
